What Are Zones?

Zones offer a more granular layer of geographic grouping by using 3-digit ZIP or postal codes, depending on the country. Zones are especially useful in densely populated areas or where operations need to be refined within a broader region.

Common uses for Zones:

• Organizing deliveries in specific metro or postal code areas.

• Enhancing route planning and efficiency.

• Assigning drivers to hyper-local service areas

Tips and Best Practices

• Name Clearly: Use intuitive names for your Regions and Zones (e.g., “Southern California”, “Toronto Core”) to make filtering and assignment easier for your team.

• Avoid Overlap: Ensure that ZIP or postal codes aren’t used in multiple Zones to prevent routing confusion.

• Keep It Updated: Regularly review and update Regions and Zones as your network of locations or service areas changes.
