Regions
Understanding Regions and Zones in LoadAi
What Are Regions?
Regions in LoadAi allow you to group drivers and locations by geographic areas across North America, such as U.S. states, Canadian provinces, or Mexican states. This geographic segmentation helps streamline operations—whether you’re organizing dispatch teams, managing localized performance, or creating targeted filters.
Common uses for Regions:
-
Assigning dispatchers and planners to specific regions.
-
Filtering locations and drivers by area.
-
Simplifying reporting based on operational zones.
What Are Zones?
Zones offer a more granular layer of geographic grouping by using 3-digit ZIP or postal codes, depending on the country. Zones are especially useful in densely populated areas or where operations need to be refined within a broader region.
⚠️ Zones are not enabled by default. Have an account administrator contact LoadAi Support to activate this feature:

Tips and Best Practices
-
Name Clearly: Use intuitive names for your Regions and Zones (e.g., “Southern California”, “Toronto Core”) to make filtering and assignment easier for your team.
-
Avoid Overlap: Ensure that ZIP or postal codes aren’t used in multiple Zones to prevent routing confusion.
-
Keep It Updated: Regularly review and update Regions and Zones as your network of locations or service areas changes.
-
Use Filters Smartly: Once Regions and Zones are set up, take advantage of them in LoadAi’s dashboards, reports, and filters to quickly isolate data.
-
Start Simple: Begin with broader Regions, and only use Zones where finer detail adds value—such as in high-density urban markets.
