Overview

The Dispatch module is your command center for daily operations — the place where trip plans become reality. With LoadAi, you can assign drivers manually or take advantage of AI-powered trip suggestions that balance cost, driver preferences, and operational feasibility.

This is where real-time execution happens, with tools to handle alerts, replan assignments, and optimize your network by individual driver, division, region, or full fleet as new data flows in.

When to Use It

Use the Dispatch module when:

  • You’re ready to assign loads or trips to drivers.

  • You want to preview and approve optimization suggestions.

  • You need to address issues like delays, missed appointments, or unassigned loads.

  • You’re bulk-planning across a region, customer, or time window.

  • You want to evaluate driver-load compatibility and replan as needed.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Filter and Customize Your View

  • Use filters to narrow the scope by planner, region, dates, driver status, or load criteria.

  • Save your favorite views to quickly return to them later.

2. Run Optimization

  • Select one or more unassigned loads or trips.

  • Click Evaluate to run LoadAi’s optimization engine.

  • Trips are generated using feasibility, profitability, and driver preferences.

3. Review Optimization Suggestions

  • Each Trip Card includes metrics like:

    • Cost per mile

    • Deadhead miles

    • Driver utilization %

    • Delays

Expand each KPI to see the full calculation and reasoning

4. Assign a Trip

  • Click Save to TMS to confirm a suggested trip.

  • Use Manually Assign to manually assign or swap drivers if needed.

5. Handle Exceptions or Replan

  • View alerts like:

    • Missed appointments

    • Driver conflicts

    • Low utilization

  • Click Optymize or Find Alternatives to rerun optimization on flagged items.

6. Perform Bulk Actions

  • Select multiple trips or loads for batch evaluation or assignment.

  • Use filters to find unassigned backhauls, specific fleet types, or zone-based needs.

Tips and Notes

  • Color-coded Trip Cards highlight utilization and conflicts (green = good, yellow = caution, red = critical).

  • LoadAi respects driver home time, equipment type, and preferred regions by default.

  • You can manually adjust trips at any time — LoadAi remains flexible but your TMS sync preferences may limit editable fields or overwrite them on the next sync.

  • Use the Warnings/Alerts to keep your plan clean and actionable.
